Who am I? Well, that's easy enough. I'm the Shield, the protector. I am nothing human, but I am also not a demon...not yet. Not ever.

OOC INFORMATION
Rai is one of two boys 'blessed' with the gifts of the Diabolo, granted demonic powers for the price of their souls. At the age of 18, those who made deals with the Diabolo 'fall', meaning that they lose their souls and become something, in their own words, 'not human.' Through some fluke, Ren and Rai obtained their powers at the age of 17, when they still had their human forms and souls. Their goal is to save Ren's cousin, Mio, who was for all appearances lost in the ritual 10 years ago that started the whole mess, steer susceptible individuals away from the devil's snares set by the Diabolo, and 'save' those who have already fallen by killing them while they're still human.

What the boys don't know is that they're merely pawns in something much larger, and Mio is the one pulling the strings.
